About The Event
Women have traits that are multifaceted, strong, vulnerable, and colorful, just like the rainbow of qualities we can find in the archetypes of the Greek Goddesses. Join this all-women workshop to explore together and celebrate the spectrum of our female identity.
The archetypes, just as the inner archetypes of the Greek goddesses, are powerful inner patterns, forces within that influence what we do and how we feel and can reveal intimate truths about ourselves. When we are able to understand them, we gain powerful insights that provide the key to self-knowledge and wholeness.
What we do:
In this Female Rainbow Workshop, the third of its series, we start by reading and reflecting upon the myth of Athena. Athena is the goddess of Wisdom and Crafts. She presided over battle strategy in wartime and over domestic arts in peacetime. The martial and domestic skills associated with her involve planning and execution, activities that require purposeful thinking. Athena is a feminine archetype: she shows that thinking well, keeping one's head in the heat of an emotional situation and developing good tactics in the midst of conflict, are natural traits for some women and can be developed for other women. In our circle we delve into her logical, thoughtful, and practical qualities to develop your ability to use your practical wisdom and achieve what you want
We work individually, following a guided exercise that will help you think strategically about your goals and how to achieve them. From this state of clarity, we move on to using playfully a variety of art materials, including drawing, creating with clay and collage. Through this personal exploration, each participant deepens their connection to the qualities of Athena. Lastly, we use Authentic Movement, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you are free to move and listen to your body’s wisdom. This way you open yourself to receiving insights that can encourage you to be strategic, practical and have tangible results, while being able to find your balance and use your wisdom in the midst of any conflict.
Please bring: Comfortable clothes that you can easily move. Your open presence and beginner’s mind as this workshop is mainly experiential. Movement explorations are adaptable to all physical abilities and conditions. Quality art materials will be provided. Participants are welcome to buy the book of Jean Shinoda Bolen “Goddesses in Every Woman”, but it is not required for the workshop.
Structure: Group is intimate with a maximum of 16 participants.
Quality Art Materials and healthy snacks are provided.

Each workshop is independent. However, participating in the whole series will help you better understand which goddess is more active within, which you may need to cultivate, which to overcome, and how to tap the power of these enduring archetypes to become a better “heroine” in your own life story.
