Join us to explore and celebrate the diverse aspects of our female identity that are strong, vulnerable, and multifaceted like a rainbow. We will be invoking the qualities of Hestia, Goddess of the Hearth and Temple, Wise Woman and Maiden Ant, to tend the inward fire and find our way back to center.

About The Event

In this workshop we use Greek myths, Authentic Movement explorations and Expressive Art activities to invoke in our embodied presence, the qualities of Hestia in order to tend the inward fire and find our way back to center.
Hestia is the goddess of the fire burning on a round hearth. She was felt to be present in the living flame at the center of the home, temple, and city. She made all places holy when she was there and she provided the sanctuary where people bonded together. As an archetypal presence in a woman’s personality Hestia is similarly important providing her with a sense of intactness and wholeness.
